About the Democratic Movement

The Democratic Movement was compiled by consulting with intellectuals, businessmen, civil sector, sportsmen, people of culture and education, individuals who have criticized and loudly spoke about all the dissatisfactions and problems faced by the Albanian citizen in the Republic of North Macedonia, and others.

Assembly Founding

The basic values of the Democratic Movement will be:

Respect for freedoms and human rights in accordance with international norms and internal norms of our state.
Rule of law for all, advancement of rights and status of Albanians to full equality.
Internal democracy.
Economic well-being.
Tax decentralization at a higher level.
Empowering youth and putting them in positions with responsibility.
Strengthening relations with our strategic allies US, EU and NATO.
Strengthen regional cooperation with western Balkan countries through the Berlin Process.

Some of the main pillars of the program

The main pillars of the program, which during the leadership journey of the Democratic Movement will certainly be added and expanded and will be adapt to the time and surroundings.

LEGAL STATE

In the US, one of the sayings dating back to the declaration of independence says "the price of freedom is eternal vigilance." Corruption undermines, weakens, and ultimately destroys the foundations on which democracy stands, and therefore the Democratic Movement will also declare the war against corruption as a priority.

ACCELERATING THE ROAD TO THE EU

The full membership of the RNM in the EU is our primary goal that has no alternatives, which at the same time represents the will of the absolute majority of Albanians in the Republic of North Macedonia.

YOUTH – THE PRESENT, BECAUSE THE PRESENT IS THE FUTURE

We, the Democratic Movement understand that the quality of future generations depends on the quality of youth today. Therefore we don't say YOUTH IS THE FUTURE, instead WE SAY YOUTH IS THE PRESENT.

HEALTH

The Democratic Movement foresees to build a quality health system and which will have the spotlight on the health of the citizen

QUALITY SOCIAL PROTECTION

The Democratic Movement will commit to equal opportunities for every citizen, without prejudice to gender, age, nationality, providing quality social protection.

NLA – STATUS OF FORMER SOLDIERS, FAMILIES OF MARTYRS AND WAR INVALIDS

NLA - The National Liberation Army is the pride of our people, therefore the Democratic Movement will strongly engage in finding solutions for the regulation of the status of former soldiers, families of martyrs and war invalids.

REMOVAL OF 20% DEFINITION FROM THE CONSTITUTION AND FULL IMPLEMENTATION OF ALBANIAN LANGUAGE

The Democratic Movement will be maximally committed to advancing albanian language to full equality with the Macedonian language, which equality will only strengthen the stability of the country and the loyalty of Albanians towards the state.

ECONOMIC WELL-BEING

The Democratic Movement will aim to accelerate reforms and will commit to improving the legal, administrative and operational framework for the private sector.

QUALITY EDUCATION

At first, we will fight for every child even those of the most remote villages to provide the education in Albanian language, which is an elementary right.

PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT

The environment is not the property of this generation, but it is the trust of future generations and as such must be adequately treated and protected.

GENDER EQUALITY

Equal access by men and women in decision-making is a necessary prerequisite for democratic governance.

DECENTRALIZED POWER

The Democratic Movement will aim to accelerate and finalize the reform process in the system of local self-government.

SPORT AND CULTURE

Our goal is to put sport among the main strategies and with a mission to reform and reconceptualise the sports infrastructure and to adapt and improve the current laws on which sport is developed. The support of culture the Democratic Movement perceives not as a subsidy, but as an investment for the future of our country.

DIASPORA

The diaspora, especially the Albanian one, remains among the most valuable economic instruments that the RNM has, contributing up to 10% of GDP, so we will pay special attention to the Diaspora.
